On Faking Cancer

Nobody would like to have a brush with the big “C” right? As people used to say, cancer is something like a thing that happens to other people. But when it happens to you and your circle of friends and family, you still find yourself shocked, surprised with remorse and all the mixed emotions one is capable of feeling.
That’s why I really do not get it why some people can fake having cancer. But for some people, if they can get away with, with money (of course!), they do not even have a guilt to pretending to it.

West Jordan Couple: Busted for Faking Cancer

Why would anybody lie about having cancer?
Apparently, some people can do it just for the money, as in the case of a West Jordan couple – James Clark and Tania Clark:
In 2001, Tania Clark, now 34, wrote an emotional letter to her husband’s supervisors at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency describing her struggle with cancer.
Based on her plea to be closer to loved ones and a letter purportedly from a Texas doctor, the DEA paid $47,806 to move the Clarks from Houston to West Jordan.
