Anyone who knows me will tell you that I love to decorate. I decorate my home, the window in my home and I mean all of the window in my home, and I love autumn. how-to: an easy yo-yo wreath for fall

Okay, so you got your supplies together? I asked nicely yesterday
Here’s what I’m using – quilting cottons in shades of green & rust, with coordinating ribbon.
You need to cut out a dozen or more yo-yo circles. I’m using a 3″ circle here – you can see how small they get when they’re sewn & gathered. Just remember to use a fairly long running stitch to stitch around the outside – it makes it so much easier to gather them. I made 2 or 3 yo-yos out of several different fabrics.

My love of yo-yo circles has been well documented here (and here) whoops, and there’s more here
I thought it would be fun to use yo-yo circles to make a decorative wreath for fall!
I’ll have the step by step tutorial for you tomorrow – but in the mean time, you need to get some things together for it.
a grapevine wreath
several fall colored fabrics (yo-yos are a great way to use up little bits of fabric from your stash!)
two different colors of wide, decorative ribbon, to coordinate with your fabric.
hand sewing needle, scissors & thread.
