I went into the pantry today to put the new bottle of maple syrup away that my husband said we just had to have because we were “running low,” only to find two partially opened bottles already there. I suspect that when he saw the first one running low he put it on the grocery list, and the bottle got shoved to the back of the pantry. Then, when he saw that one getting low he added it to the list again.
And now we have three bottles of syrup.
I understand where he’s coming from, though. There are …read more

I told you awhile ago about a meal planning system called “Meal Planner 101“. Well, I’ve been using the system for a good two weeks now and meal time around my house has been great. I really needed something to give me a kick in the pants so that I would start planning meals for my family again, instead of flying by the seat of my pants.
The Meal Planner 101 System
Let me start off by telling you how much I love the Meal Planner 101 system. For $29.95 you get a notebook with a few pre-printed pages on it …read more

This post is dedicated to Robin of HeartofWisdom.com. She just bought the cable organizer and was asking about some organization solutions for all of the cell phones, mp3 players and psp’s. All of these electronics can definitely take over a space and make it look cluttered. It’s also hard to keep up with all of the charging devices. Here are a few products I found that will be a huge help in this area:
Charging Valet for Handheld Electronic Devices
With this charging valet, you can store and charge up to 6 devices at the same time. A hidden power strip keeps …read more

When it comes to keeping those toys organized, I have found that if my kids have organizing pieces in their room that they enjoy looking at, then they will be more likely to use them.
I just put a new cube organizer in my daughter’s room and she loves it and actually uses it to keep her things organized! It’s a wonderful thing.
That’s why I love this Sassy Flower Pop Up toy organizer. It has an adorable pattern and it’s something that is fun and easy for kids to use.
Kids could store anything from stuffed animals, blocks or clothes. It also …read more

There are several ways you can organize your bathroom cleaning supplies and make cleaning the bathrooms go much quicker. Here are my 2 favorite ways:
Utility Caddy
You can store all of your bathroom cleaning supplies in a utility caddy similar to the one pictured here. It can hold your basic cleanser, rags and sponges. When it’s time to clean, all you have to do is tote it from room to room. When you are finished, just put the caddy back and you are done!
Under the Sink
Another way to organize your cleaning supplies is to store one bottle of cleanser, or …read more

Ahhhhh, clutter free gift ideas. That is Christmas music to my ears. Casual Keystrokes has written a great post on Clutter Free Gift Ideas. Here’s a snippet from her post:
While I am looking forward to the festivity and fun of the holiday season, the one thing I am not looking forward to is putting all the stuff we get for Christmas away once the gift giving is done. As a matter of fact, I am trying to reduce the amount of stuff my family has – not add to it. So what is a Mom to do?
The following are ideas …read more
Organizing Idea for School Children

I was born organized. I really was. I probably got fussy if my meal was 2 minutes late. My daughter on the other hand, she was not. She has a real problem staying focused on the task at hand and she does not do well with juggling several things at one time.
She is a good student though and all of a sudden her grades starting slipping a little bit. It was completely out of characteristic for her and so I had a chat with her teacher. Come to find out, she had lost a couple of homework assignments and just …read more

The Snap ‘n Stack by Snapware is one of the most innovative craft storage items on the market. It not only keeps your craft items connected together in one place, it also helps your craft area look more organized and uniform.
Pros
•Takes up less space than several containers would.
