October means….Oktoberfest! I found some regional Oktoberfest celebrations going on. I hope you are able to find one near you.

When: Friday, October 9, 2009 11:30-9:30 pm and Saturday, October 10, 2009 11:00 am-9:30pm
German food including; Pork Schnitzel, Kasseler Rippchen(Smoked Pork Chop),
Bratwursts, Knackwursts, Weisswursts(White Sausage). Domestic and imported beverages. Enjoy music with the Just 4 Fun Band, Rheingold Band, and the Bavarian Echo.

We took advantage of the fabulous weather this weekend by going to Magic City Art Connection, an annual art festival in downtown Birmingham. We love everything about the event, but now that we have a little boy, we see the festival in a whole new light. Yesterday, we spent almost the entire time making crafts in the kids area. If you’re in the northeast US and looking for something to do this weekend, you couldn’t do wrong by taking a jaunt up to the Forget-Me-Not Farm in Tinmouth, Vermont and indulging yourself in a couple of days of renewable energy workshops and awesome music from the solar-powered stage at SolarFest 2006.
