I remember a few years ago when Go-gurt first came on the market – and I thought eww, yogurt in a tube. But, we tried them and they have been a lunch box staple every since. We were given an opportunity to try a new version of Go-gurt called Fizzix. Think Go-gurt goes X-treme – at least that’s what the packaging wants you to think.

Fizzix is yogurt in a tube that has a bit of fizz to it. Why the fizz – all I can figure is the fun factor. The nutritional value is the same and the yogurt has the same general consistency. The only difference is that the Fizzix has a bit of a tang and fizzy feeling on the toungue that the regular Go-gurt does not have.

So, what did the kids think? Two of them LOVED it, one of them said so-so, and one said she prefers the original Go-gurt. I froze them and had the kids try them again. All of them preferred the Fizzix frozen.

I haven’t seen these in the grocery store yet, but I expect that they will be just as popular as the regular Go-gurt.
