We all know the usage of brown bananas. Either make a banana bread or muffins out of it. But what about other fruits that are looking a little past out of their prime? The taglines for Produce Freshies describes it as something to give “double life to fruits, vegetables, and even fresh cut flowers”. I found out about it from one of those late ngiht infomercials. It sounds really cool.
Produce Freshies contians Potassium Permanganate treated Zeolite pellets that when placed near ethylene gas which can be found on produce products, it turns into water and CO2. Those two are called inert substance which helps produce items fresh and last longer.

It’s definitely salad season. Sure, I love a salad all year ’round, but this is the time of year when the Farmer’s Market is full of fresh from the Earth produce. Do you know how to keep your produce the freshest?

Being a problogger means grabbing snack to munch on whenever you can, while in front of the computer working. That’s another habit I need to cut back on besides sugar. Chocolate Truffles, Flaming Hot Cheetos, Chocolate Chip Cookies, etc, are my enemies. I should stick with gum since you actually burn calories when you chew gum.
