Stuart Slann, father of one, has since been divorced by his wife Louise, 34, after she found out about the intended affair.
 
Stuart responded by saying, “There’s no doubt I’ve been done good and proper by the lads from Liverpool… It was cruel, but I’ll hold my hands up and say they really wound me up.”
 

All this over football?  The broken ankle and rib were not enough?  Something is wrong with all of these men, in my opinion.

Another Facebook Divorce – Football Fans Fake A Fling

Eva Longoria has given pop star Jessica Simpson some advice about dating American sports stars. Longoria insists Simpson shouldn’t be upset by negative reactions from fans.

The ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress and wife of basketball player Tony Parker, sympathises with Simpson after remarks made by fans of her boyfriend Tony Romo and his team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Longoria claims she experienced the same type of reaction in the beginning, but was eventually accepted as Parker’s longterm love.

If the Simpson/Romo romance is anything like Longoria/Parker – time will heal all wounds and the relationship will become just another part of the game.

Maybe Simpson and Romo will be like an old married couple by the kickoff of next season.

It could happen.

In January, just after he scored the winning touchdown, Ian Johnson dropped to one knee in front of his girlfriend, Chrissy Popadics and the world to ask if she would marry him.

My heart warmed at the precious moment Ian Johnson chose to share with me, a perfect stranger. That warmth was quickly followed by a sense of sorrow and pity for what I knew this young couple was about to endure.

At that instant, viewers of the Fiesta Bowl were divided in two – reminiscent of the 40’s and 50’s we have seen in old syndicated television shows.

Racial tension had again emerged – as if the previous 50 years had made little difference.

It was great that he had scored the winning touchdown to bring the underdog Boise State to the win, but heaven forbid he want to marry a white girl.

Ian and Chrissy are set to be married Saturday in Boise and unlike most weddings this wedding is having to invite wedding security because of all the racist threats they’ve received.

Having very old fashioned parents who are completely against interracial relationships and marriage, I can clearly see a persons right to their own opinion, but there are times when it’s best to have your opinion and keep your mouth shut!

My parents impressed their belief on me and I would have never thought to engage in a mixed relationship out of respect for my parents. But that doesn’t mean I’m against a persons right to fall in love with whomever they want.

I believe the relationship and marriage between Ian and Chrissy is between them and their parents. Beyond that, if anyone has a problem with it, they need to get over it! It’s none of their business.

I’d like to wish Ian and Chrissy all the happiness in the world and may the world grow color blind to the colors of their skin and share in wishing them peace and happiness in life.

America’s sweethearts forced to hire private security

Boxing Day refers to both the day after Christmas day, December 26th, and the Public holiday which follows Christmas Day, should the 26th and 27th fall on a weekend. [Wikipedia]

Traditionally, this day is alloted for a sporting activity, i.e. fox-hunting but nowadays it’s either football, cricket or yacht racing. I understand that most women aren’t into sports but, hey, some are!

Here are a few ideas on what you can do or where to go on your Boxing Day date. Let’s start off with the more obvious ones:

• Go watch the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Grounds — er, applicable for you guys who live in Australia. LOL.
• You can watch the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race — again, only for the Aussie folk.
• You can take your pick among the English and Scottish Football matches. Also, in Northern Ireland.
• You can also take part in the festivities of Junkanoo in Bahamas.

Now, for the DIY date ideas. Teehee.

• If your town celebrates Boxing Day in your own special way, take part!
• You can invite friends over for some beer and leftovers to watch them sporting activities on cable or a movie marathon of sport flicks. [Guys would love that!]
• You can host a barbie and play some backyard cricket [or whichever sport you guys like to play] with other couples!

If you haven’t considered making this day a special day, too, perhaps I’ve given you a few ideas to help you make it into one. Create your own special way of celebrating the day after Christmas with your partner. No one ever said the holidays end on Christmas day!
