Funny Things Kids Say

Oh I just love reading the funny things kids say or do and this week I’m bringing one to you from Jerri Ann. Jerri Ann writes a ton of blogs
but you might know her by “Mom~E~Centric.”
The two of us had been talking and I mentioned my kids woke me up, this was her response:
”Mine didn’t wake me up this morning until AFTER the 6 yo had made a round of cereal for the house…omg, I was about to get up and I heard a soda can pop and I knew they were into a mess, they don’t get soda but …read more

Funny Things Kids Do

I know I normally do the funny things kids say but for today I have a funny thing my child did. Now I’ve heard of children being picky on certain types of food because of color and taste but never over a word. Do you have a child that is picky and refuses to eat something? What is it
Today we had peas for dinner, my 2-year-old has always ate these until now. When I pushed it to him and asked him to eat his peas he pushed the bowl at me. “No.” I was shocked. “Eat your peas.” This time …read more

Funny Things Kids Say: College Talk

As you know I’ve been taking some college classes, this is new still to the kids so they are still getting a feel for it all. Earlier I was explaining some of my homework, here’s the discussion that went on between the kids
I was just talking to the kids explaining my homework. I told them each paragraph has to have a question in it, known as critical thinking. One asked, Why do you have to write like that? My daughter quickly jumped in thinking she knew and responded, “Mom has to think like a criminal.” Ummm, I don’t think she …read more

Funny Things Kids Say: Tom’s In Town

I’m sure some of you know the phrase, “Tom’s in town,” or maybe “That time of the month.” For those that don’t basically it’s the female’s menstrual cycle hitting… ya know the period. Well, the hubby and I know the phrases well and I tend to give him a head’s up when it happens. But this time around we were caught by a little eavesdropper.
“You going this weekend?” I asked him.
“Yeah, probably. No call otherwise. I don’t think they’re concerned.”
“It’s perfect timing,” I reply, “Tom’s in town.”
That’s when we discovered our oldest was listening in on our conversation and started …read more

Funny Things Kids Say: The Full Name

I have always loved talking to people about my children’s full names. No one ever understands why my kids have so many. Course then they don’t understand that when you are in a public place and yell “Jennifer” about 15 of them turn around or no one pays attention. Here’s a cute “Funny” that happened with my friend Katelyn over at AllHolidayCafe.
My sister’s little boy is the fourth in his family with the same name (IV) and we thought he understood what that meant. However, today he told his grandma that since he was 5 now, when we use his …read more

Conversations with kids

A friend related this:
During his bath the other night, the spousage went into the room adjacent to put the radio on. Tuned to the local jazz station, a joyful vibraphone tune filled the air.
“What’s that?” asked The Toddler.
“That’s the radio,” I explained.
“No, it’s not,” countered The Toddler. “It’s jazz.”

On Saturday, my kid and I were at the local drug store, picking out wrapping paper for his Grandpa’s birthday present, when he got a cross-legged, worried expression come over his little body. “I have to go to the bathroom,” he told me. When the Kid admits he’s gotta go, he’s really …read more
