Check out this view of the future. According to one columnist, the future will involve more technology and less human interaction. Much less. He says:
“People will work from where they are situated, permanently logged onto a super-fast Internet. Access will come from a range of connection devices. Wearable computers will be all the rage, but early adopters will have opted for more permanent machinery that is physically implanted. Employees will work in teams that have a truly global makeup. As a result of technologically enhanced globalization, working days will run on WT (world time) in one language — a hybrid [...]
Post from: Blisstree

Check out this view of the future. According to one columnist, the future will involve more technology and less human interaction. Much less. He says:

“People will work from where they are situated, permanently logged onto a super-fast Internet. Access will come from a range of connection devices. Wearable computers will be all the rage, but early adopters will have opted for more permanent machinery that is physically implanted. Employees will work in teams that have a truly global makeup. As a result of technologically enhanced globalization, working days will run on WT (world time) in one language — a hybrid known as Global English.”

On one hand, this vision scares me. On the other hand, it’s just one person’s opinion and isn’t written in stone. After all, remember how when home videos were first invented “experts” said no one would ever go to a movie again? Or how when computers were invented we would have a “paperless society?”

Whenever someone predicts a future that makes humans sound like robots, I just can’t see it. People AREN’T robots. Plain and simple. Even the most socially inept people around still like being in the company of other people. We need each other.

What do you think? What’s your vision for the future?
