These are cool – Renaissance Lanterns from SmartHome. They’ve taken your standard solar-powered LED garden lights and turned them into old-fashioned looking lanterns wherein the light actually flickers like a candle.
Made of glass and metal, a full-day of sunny goodness provides enough charge for up to 10 hours of nightly illumination. The units can be placed on a table, the ground or hung from an included pole. I suppose if you really wanted to go ‘old-school‘, you could even hang them on your horse-drawn carriage.
