Throughout the country, myriad events are taking place in the quilting world to commemorate Black History Month. Among them, you’ll find the following:
Freedom Quilts Exhibit to celebrate Black History Month.
This year’s exhibit features the contemporary needlework of several local quilters who have reproduced the Freedom Quilt patterns believed to have helped escaping slaves traveling along the Underground Railroad in the years before the Civil War.
