Your Own Stamps At Work

When I scrapbook using stamps, I usually take out all the stamps, inkpads I will be using as well as my stamp cleaners and wipes. So you can say the whole shebang are on top of each other. I love my messy craft space, it keeps me “sane”.
Eversince my daughter discovered my little space at home, you’ll almost always find her crafting side by side with me, using my stuff, pretending to be a grown up by egging me to lend her my exacto knife and fine-tipped scissors. When she learned how to use my stamps… I went crazy. She’d pound my acrylic stamps on …read more

Ok, ok. I am officially under the “series bug” syndrome. I have been for 3 days in a row now, sending your way wreath ideas. I swear the wreaths did it for me. I was too inspired to share my discoveries with you, as well as itching to make one for myself and my family, too. I am even contemplating on making some for friends to give away as gifts. Why for? No particular reason. I just want to share the L-O-V-E.
If you have a lot of paper scraps, then look no further. Here’s an idea that is made from tons of it!

All About Fleece

The fleece, according to the The Free Dictionary is “the coat of wool of a sheep or a similar animal”. We normally would wear a sweater made of fleece, or a spread to keep us warm during an early winter day. It is also a material that is considered to be luxurious enough to make a hit in the runway.
I never imagined the same material to serve another purpose such as a decorative item. Yep folks, it’s another wreath made our of fabric. Yesterday, I showed you the satin ribbon wreath which was absolutely adorable. This wreath that is made out of fleece is so …read more

It is very rare that I see an absolutely awesome craft that is so easy to make and yet with an impact so great, it just won’t let up! It is the kind of project that you just have to share to everyone who has a crafty bone in her/his body somewhere. This one is no exception at all.
Originally, it was made to use for a halloween project. But I digress. For even in its original color using black satin ribbons, it can also be used as a charming decor for yet another affair or event. A formal wedding, maybe?
A fun blog, called The Long …read more

I am always at awe seeing fantastic works of art that started rather very unassuming. From a humble piece of paper, some thoughtful technique here and there, coupled with more combo effects and voila! You wouldn’t even believe that, what started as just a plain idea can actually transform into something really awesome.
Misting, masking, stamping and homemade stenciling. These are techniques that I consider a totally different animal. I do these techniques at random and sparringly. But come to think of it, the super combination I mentioned, when done together makes for a project that will surely be the talk amongst your friends. Consider this end-product below …read more

If you ever get tired of your bare chipboard alphas, what do you do? Okay, let me rephrase it. What CAN you do?
Come on, you have to do something. Because if you don’t, it will be such a waste seeing your alpha chipboards deteriorate without being given a single chance to prove themselves and show off their maximum potential. They are not called “bare” alpha chipboards for nothing. It actually serve a bigger purpose, you see.

Crafting, most especially scrapbooking, is an artform that has never been this easy since the onslaught of countless innovations of ready made embellishments and templates. The shaped cardstock and patterned papers, those thematic images with adhesive backing, die-cut shapes and of course, those adorable alphabets (made out of chipboard stickers, foam or even fabric) have made this hobby a more pleasurable experience each time.
But I think the most versatile of all the above are the patterned papers. And why not? One can do a lot with it with just a pinch of imagination and a dash of patience. But don’t get me wrong. Like a …read more

Did you ever wonder how those pretty, furry pom poms were made? With it’s rather simple form, the way it was made is nothing close to complicated. Come to think of it, it’s actually a no-brainer even!
Looking at the endless possiblities of using these pom poms was the absolute component that drew me to them. I actually felt the urge to find out and understand how they were made. Gone were the days that these babies were used solely for hairclip adornments only. Through the years, the pom poms have been present in almost all craft-related projects that included table settings, scrapbook embellishment and even as a …read more

Halloween paper-pieced creepy crawlers, anyone? Or not. Anyway, here is a fun craft project that you can make together with your little ones.
There must be something about paper-piecing that excites even us, the grown ups. Remember how as children in pre-kindergarten school, we used to do these kinds of things like all day, everyday? I can still vividly recall how my classroom looked like: trays were line-up in the console table, and in those trays were pieces of papers with shapes, next tray would contain wiggly eyes, noses/snouts/beaks, then yarns looking like crowns of hair in different styles and colors. Oh, I can go on …read more
