Alright, George Clooney fans out there, time to get your get well cards and positive energy flowing. Turns out George broke his hand while staying at his pad in Italy. I know what you’re thinking… will he still be able to wave to the fans?

Yes. His doctor joked that he was giving George “30-40 years more to live, and no live animals were harmed during the wrapping of the hand.” (Sounds like George had just the right doctor to suit his personality, doesn’t it?)

Rumors fly that perhaps George broke his hand while riding a motorcycle (because he did have that accident a couple years ago where his cycle collided with a car), but it turns out George simply closed the car on his hand.

Ouch!

Saying Farewell to ER

What did the television show ER do for you? I was in college when it premiered in the 90s. One of my roommates was in love with the show. I always thought that was odd considering she had a major germ phobia at the time. She’s told me that she’s cured now.

I used to watch the show too, but as most shows that stay on the air as long as ER, I eventually lost interest. But back to that germ phobia thing. It’s not so odd that my roommate loved the show. I have to admit to being somewhat of a hypochondriac (don’t tell my doctors), and I think that’s why I liked the show. It gave me all new diseases and injuries to ponder!

Although the bloody scenes could be somewhat disturbing, I’m glad that ER was one of the first shows to portray those situations with some shreds of realism. Sure, it was all dramatized, but the magic was in the details.

Will you watch ER’s final episode tonight?

George Clooney and “Fantastic Four” star Jessica Alba have topped a poll conducted by Yahoo in the US to find the stars whom single people would most like to date.

In the poll, people were asked which male and female star they would most like to date. Contactmusic.com reports that women picked Clooney as their dream choice and men wanted Jessica Alba.

While actor Matthew McConaughey, rapper Kanye West and pop star Ricky Martin made it to the male list, former “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston, singer Queen Latifah and Jessica Simpson featured on the female list.
