Her Husband Is Annoying

Living with another adult is a very challenging thing to do. Every one of us is walking around with a big ol’ bag of quirks slung over our shoulder. The trick is the find the person whose bag you can handle, the person whose quirks don’t send you running from the room in anger and/or frustration.
Tiffanie Wong is a newlywed who writes a blog called My Husband Is Annoying. Within the blog she shares her experiences with husband, Mark Joyella.
Some of his annoying traits appear to be his tendency to continually wear a particular green sweater, his over-use of a …read more

My Back-To-School Friend Plan

My daughter, Sarah, is going into the 6th grade. We have lived in the same neighborhood for all but the first 3 months of her life. She has attended one school throughout this time. She is beautiful, unique, smart, creative, and she really picked up some skills on the basketball court this past Winter. She does, however, sometimes find it hard to get along with kids her own age.
She’s spent entirely too much time on the computer this Summer and not enough outside running around. I try to get her out there, but she’s back soon with “It’s too hot, …read more

Sarah is 11 and she is going into the 6th grade in about a month. She’s my youngest - she’s quite a bit younger than her next oldest sibling, Bay, who is turning 17 in a couple of weeks.

Leos Can Be Such Drama Queens

I read my Free Will AstrologyHoroscope today and this is what Rob Brezney has to say about Leos…..
Leo (July 23-August 22)
A Florida woman, upset that her local McDonald’s had run out of Chicken McNuggets, phoned the 911 emergency service line for help. In an unrelated incident, a Florida man took the same action when Burger King told him it had no lemonade to sell him. I recommend that you not indulge in similar overreactions in the coming week, Leo. The Drama Queen or Drama King archetype is threatening to possess you, and I suspect you’ll have to act forcefully …read more

I Know A Man With No Faults

I know a nice man named Brett. Brett and I work together at an elementary school, were we spend three recesses a day watching kids. We both really enjoy the job, Brett even more than I do. He calls it, “Taking a break.” Brett lives his life with a bunch of women; his wife, his twin 13-year-olds, and while his Grandmother does not live in the same house she does live right next door.
Today Brett told me that they were all coming down on him. The girls were cranky all weekend, his Grandma was in tears just before work, and he and his wife had a “major blow-up” first …read more
