Quizzes: Sex, Intrigue, Frenemies

Back when Relationships used to be known as Dating Dames, I used to post links to the games and quizzes they’ve got over at Cosmo online. These quizzes are just for fun, so don’t expect any real serious advice. If you are looking to kill a little time, take a look at one of these…….
*Quiz: Are You Way Too Obsessed With Your Ex?  Some guys (or girls) are hard to forget, but nobody wants to be stalkerish. See how you are doing with this quiz.
*Quiz: Are You Good-Girl Hot or Bad-Girl Hot? The quote with this game is “Are you so …read more

I’m Having Trouble Making New Girl Friends

There is so much focus in our culture on boyfriend-girlfriend relationships that sometimes the importance of maintaining same sex friendships is overlooked.  It is so important to have some good girlfriends in your life, whether it’s for superficial outings like shopping and mani-pedis or for deep connections like heart-to-hearts and requests for womanly advice.
Once you get in the real world it is definitely much harder to meet girlfriends.  In college you have roommates and classes, but in the working world it’s much more awkward to make a connection with a new female.  I’ve heard from a lot of friends who …read more

Adult Friendships

Aly, one of the other realtionship writers here at Blisstree, wrote about an issue that came up with her friend the other day. She was confused and unsure how to handle the situation.  Adult friendships can be tricky.  There’s not always a clear path to take, it’s easy to misread things or second-guess yourself.
Remember when you were a kid, how easy it was to make friends?  You were offered up a new selection every Fall when you returned to school or you could hang with the kids in your neighborhood. Either way, there were so many options and the rules …read more

True Colors Shining Through?

Generally, I interpret the relationship channel as being about those of a romantic nature…but the truth is, relationships come in all forms, and ultimately, friendships can be just as “angsty” as any other kind of entanglement.
I have a situation that I am at a total loss of what to do about.
Several years ago, I became acquainted with a friend through several other mutual ones. She’s one of those awesomely strong women – she moved cross-country on her own straight out of college, is brilliant, and when she tragically lost her husband before even hitting their 30th birthdays, she soldiered on, …read more

Girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson Spills the Beans On Hef

I mentioned, a few months back, that I’m a fan of The Girls Next Door, on E!.  The show features Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends, young models from his magazine, Playboy, who live with Hefner on his estate. The girlfriends included Holly Madison, Bridgette Marquardt, and Kendra Wilkinson.  I haven’t watched the show in awhile, but I’ve been reading about girlfriend changes in the entertainment news and what I’ve gathered is that the old girlfriends are out our on their way out and new girlfriends are in.
Kendra Wilkinson, newly engaged to Philadelphia Eagle, Hank Baskett recently spoke  to USWeekly spilling the beans about …read more

Matt and Robin’s Words of Wisdom

My sister’s family was in town this weekend. I love visiting with them and I really wish that we lived closer than 6 hours drive away from each other. We have a great time together and it’s fun to watch all the cousins playing together.
Robin, my sister, and her husband, Matt, have been married for 15 years. They dated and lived together for a few years before that, so basically they’ve been together for close to 20 years. In that time their relationship, like any relationship that lasts for a length of time, has had it’s …read more

Do you still ask her out?

When it comes to romantic overtures, I commend men who know how it is to ask a girl out. If they project some sort of confidence, sincerity and genuine inclination toward winning a girl’s affection, they qualify in my book. The planning they put in on even the simplest of dates is something I truly admire.
However, it takes a backseat as the relationship progresses. Partners, now, busy themselves with all the practicality of their individual lives and will eventually prioritise romance less. Sad but true.
Relationships aren’t always practical and logical. You do have to feed it some romance, so as …read more

Tips On How To Troubleshoot Your Girl

WORD OF CAUTION: This post [or the links contained in this post, that is] is not suitable for the, uh, faint of heart. Reader discretion advised.
I, now, have a new blog-addiction. Reading the utter craziness written by this Noisy, Noisy Man! Hahaha. I really had to laugh out loud! He’s friggin’ funny! Mind-numbingly C-R-A-Z-Y! [All meant in a good way, ok?!]
Since I did a feature for the women on how to care for their new boyfriends, I thought I’d extend the same courtesy to men who have — uh, not necessarily new — girlfriends.
Of course, in my readings, I stumbled …read more
