My Favorite One Pot Meal

We’ve got the winner from our giveaway Simple One Pot Stews today! It’s Whitney C.! Congrats!
I started thinking about one-pot stews after I posted this giveaway. Many of you commented that one pot meals make things go so much easier. There is something very comforting about not having to dirty a lot of different dishes just to get a meal on the table.

A few years ago, I subscribed to Everyday Food by Martha Stewart. One of the first recipes I tried was this one for Chicken and Dumplings. It is today my very favorite one pot meal to make and eat. My family loves it too.
What’s your favorite one pot meal?

Did you enter our giveaway for the book, The Parent Trip? If you did, listen up, I’m just about to announce the winner. It is:
Nicole C!
Congratulations to her! I know she’s going to get a good dose of laughter with this book. And that’s so important with parenting, isn’t it? We’d all go nuts if we didn’t have a sense of humor.

If you didn’t win, I highly recommend reading this post from the Motherlode. It is beyond funny, and will make you feel instantly better about your parenting skills.

We have a winner in the giveaway for Quilting Quotations Celebrating an American Legacy.
Cindi was selected by Random.org as the winner of this book. She plans to give it as a Christmas gift to someone in her life who’s an avid quilter.
I asked for favorite quotes and Cindi shared this one:
One of my favorite quotes is from “The Little Prince,” a
book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery ~ “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
Congratulations, Cindi. And thank you, everyone, for entering and sharing your quilting and quotes. I shall be featuring another giveaway in October.
