South Beach Diet … For the Family?

A friend wrote me recently and said I’ve inspired her to get back into the South Beach Diet. She and her husband tried it for a while, then stopped. (YEA! A friend who reads my blog is a true friend indeed!) She wanted to know how I do this while feeding a family. Good question.

Burning Calories in the Garden

I can’t believe it. I’ve only been on the South Beach Diet for two days, and I feel like a completely different person. I’ve got so much energy, I can hardly sit down to blog.
Instead, I’ve been out taking walks, swimming with my kids in the pool (instead of watching), and now I’m heading out to pick some squash from our garden. I checked the online calculator here, and I’ll be burning more calories while I pick produce and pull weeds. woohoo!
