So, if I eventually share something she already did, I’ll just apologize in advance. I suppose you could think of it this way: If two of us recommend it, it must be ultra handy.

I love these agenda planners. I use my computer to track lots of stuff – less paper waste, but also can’t resist making lists. These planners will allow you to indulge your inner list creator, with less impact on the planet.

The Eco-Friendly Agenda Planners from ecojot available at Delight.com.

These are undated agendas (which I love, because I never buy an agenda in January). They include a weekly view, 100 sheets of lined paper, and elastic band closure. Best of all they’re 100% recycled & recyclable; 100% post-consumer waste; Forest Stewardship Council certified paper, veggie based inks and glues, and it’s biodegradable. Not even one little tree was assaulted to create these books.

When it comes to paper goods, ecojot is one of the most yummy sites that I’ve seen in a long time. Plus they have nice soothing music and birds chirping! All of their designs are spectacular, colorful, and mod. They have a large slant toward nature themes, and offer journals, notepads, project binders, files and more. All are earth friendly. Plus, bonus, I can think of lots of things to do with the great designs when you’re done with the actual agenda. You can crop and frame it for a child’s room, cut the covers into gift tags, or little cards, and more. Because the designs are so nice, these could serve many uses.

Visit ecojot to see all the lovely designs.

Hello. Some of you may know me from around the b5media Lifestyles Channel. Still, not everyone knows me, so, I thought I’d kick off my first post here at Declutter It, with some info about me. I always like to know who I’m reading, so it’s only fair to kick that back at folks.

My life story…

Just kidding! That would be long. How about we focus on the bare basics. I’m Jennifer, and I already blog here at b5media for Offbeat Homes and Tree Hugging Family. I really super adore both weird stuff and green topics (go figure). I have a little one named Cedar, who I always chat about, which is good information; otherwise you might think I hang out with trees a lot. (Actually I do that too) Still, about 90% of the time when I mention “Cedar” it’ll mean my boy, not the tree.

To learn more basic background info about me, or to see the other places I blog you can read this page.

About me organizing (otherwise known as what the heck qualifies me to write this blog):

I don’t have a professional organizing degree (do they have those?) I was simply lucky enough to be born with one of those over hyper I-hate-clutter-and-love-tabbed-divider genes. My son was born with that gene too, so not only do I approach organizing from an adult view, but now I’ve gotten to see this from a child’s view point as well. Seriously, this kid was organizing his toys into bins at age three.

My basic views on organizing over the years have changed somewhat. I used to have some fairly convoluted and difficult systems going on. Like file cabinet systems that no one but me understood, and I’d alphabetize CDs and books. I’m actually more chill now. My general current approach to organizing is to keep it simple. I’m big time into simple living and getting back to a less over stuffed way, less commercial way of life, and instead celebrating a more family and people centered approach to life. I still adore cool organizing products, and I’ll bring some here to share, but lately, I’ve just been working on simplifying overall.

What I’ll be bringing to the blog:

Organizing in eco-friendly ways.

Organizing your homeschooling home – did I mention I unschool?

Some kooky organizing ideas and gear. (They’ll still work, trust me).

Organizing kids and babies – I have baby obsessions, plus my best friend has a baby, and I think she’s sick of me trying to organize her. I’ll leave her alone for a while and focus my attention here.

Organizing your time for maximum ease of life – i.e. that simple living deal I mentioned.

And more.

I like almost all organizing topics but blogging about organizing is a new activity for me. That said, if there’s something you’d like to learn about, or a topic you’re interested in, you can let me know by leaving a comment or by email (jennifer.chait (at) b5media.com).

Glad to be here. Now, why not tell me a little about you? Are you organized or are you missing that crucial gene?
