These are such a great idea! Greenies have created “Pill Pockets,” a treat with a little pocket in the center perfect for fitting in a pill or even liquid when your pet needs medication.
They come in two sizes – one for larger pills and a smaller one for capsules, and they’re also available in two flavors – beef and chicken. There are also packs specifically for cats and dogs.
I’m interested in the dog treats especially since we have to give Honey pain medication every once in a while (poor old girl). We’ve been using little bits of processed cheese [...]
Post from: Blisstree

These are such a great idea! Greenies have created “Pill Pockets,” a treat with a little pocket in the center perfect for fitting in a pill or even liquid when your pet needs medication.

They come in two sizes – one for larger pills and a smaller one for capsules, and they’re also available in two flavors – beef and chicken. There are also packs specifically for cats and dogs.

I’m interested in the dog treats especially since we have to give Honey pain medication every once in a while (poor old girl). We’ve been using little bits of processed cheese that we fold the pill into and it’s not often enough that it’s bad for her, but she may like the Greenies even better.

You can pick up a free sample to try out for yourself!

I had to stop and get some cat and dog food this morning and picked up a bag of Feline Greenies at the check out. I was a bit wary because getting our cats to eat treats is like pulling teeth – they’re very picky and usually leave whatever you give them sitting where you put it.

I put the bag with the Greenies in the laundry room and went back out to unload the food from the back of the car. When I came back in Turbo was mauling the bag, trying to get to the pack of Greenies. I took that as a good sign. I opened it and gave him one, he took a sniff and devoured it. I tossed one over to Kricket who nosed at it for a minute before Turbo swooped in, chased her off and ate it for himself, so I’ll have to get her by herself before I give her another. I have no idea where Sage is – probably hiding under a bed or the couch so I’m not sure how she’ll react but as long as one of them likes it then it’s not wasted, at least.

The bag weighs 3 ounces and I got it at Petco for $2.99 (I think it was on sale). It’s the Tempting Tuna flavor because I know the cats like tuna (tuna water drained from the can, at least), but they’ve got four other flavors: Oven Roasted Chicken, Ocean Fish, Savory Salmon, and Succulent Beef.

And bonus, Greenies.com is offering a free sample!
