Encouraging Imagination

When my kids were little, they had as much fun with the boxes that their toys came in as the toy itself. And I think that continued as they grew older. Jamie became a hairstylist with a major hairstyling chain and Britt became a landscape designer. I like to think that their dad and I had something to do with their success.

Teach your children that they are special and they have a multitude of talents. It might take a few times for it to sink in, but believe me it does. My son for example had learning disabilities all during his school years, and hated every minutel. But when he realized that he simply had to use a different method for learning, his attitude completely changed.
