For parents who plan to walk around with their little trick or treaters, a Halloween safety kit is a great idea. Putting the kit together ahead of time helps parents make sure they have everything they need when they are walking down the street with their kids.

Help your child pick out or make a costume that will be safe. Be sure it is fireproof and that the eye holes are large enough for good peripheral vision.

The American Humane Society has released its list of annual reminders for pet owners for the upcoming Halloween season. Though many of us know most of the precautions by heart, it never hurts to to get a bit of a refresher — our four-legged family members are worth it!

Halloween Make Up Tips

Do you prefer masks or make up for kids’ Halloween costumes? I prefer make up because masks seem to be such a safety hazard. They twist them around, can’t see out the eye holes and trip or do things with the elastic that cause me stress. So, Halloween make up it is!
