I used to roll my eyes at people who would get depressed during holidays. Seriously, what was there to be depressed about? And then my mother died. It’s not her absence that upsets me the most. It’s been 10 years since she died and I have learned to live with that void. It’s how our family tradition and togetherness died with her.
I don’t blame my father for that. He has a new life now with a wonderful, beautiful wife. And she has her family there. I’m a grownup now. I have husband and a child. And if anything, I should …read more

Yesterday I consulted with a nutritionist.
Now, I have consulted with a nutrionist before, at the VA, but I am not talking about a pseudo-doctor. This was someone who understood supplements, homeopathics, and herbals and was on the same page as I was.
It was interesting and now I have alot of research to do.

It is my opinion that we’re creating alot of the problem of ADD/ADHD by our lifestyles. In the late 1800s anyone who was able to read was able to read Charles Dickens or GA Henty. His primary care physician is stumped and frustrated. So are we.
Anyway, after we were done I needed to pick up some alpha lipoic acid …read more

Gayla was talking about panic attacks on Guerrilla Parenting and it reminded me that that was another subject I wanted to cover here.
Panic attacks are a complex problem, and I do not profess to understand all about them but I do know what has worked for me in the past..in fact I rarely suffer from them at all any more and usually when I do I know what triggers it.
