June is National Great Outdoors Month – What Are You Doing to Celebrate?

As if the sunshine and warmth of June weren’t enough to get you outside, here is the official Presidential Proclamation:
I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2008 as Great Outdoors Month. I call on all Americans to observe this month with appropriate programs and activities, and to take time to visit and enjoy the great outdoors.

Does This Mean What I Think It Means?

So we did it. After years and years of seeing dozens of people walking around ArtsFest every Memorial Day weekend with them, we finally bought one for ourselves -a handcrafted broom. Heck, we even got a pot scrubber/vegetable washer (to clean our new weekly batch of organics) while we were there.
We were walking down Front Street with our new purchases, en route to see one of our favorite local bands (who happens to be a jam band) and Michael asked this question:
