With the warmer weather leading us into summer (at least in the Northern Hemisphere), quilters and their families likely will be outside more. That generally means more exposure to the sun and the need for sunblock.
Scott Warthon, at b5’s Health and Men, has some great information about Understanding Sun Protection Factor or SPF . This helps us understand why and how the different levels of SPF work as they do. He also has posted a chart giving us information regarding which SPF to use with which skin type.

Spring is Tune Up Time for Quilters

Our thoughts often turn to exercise and outdoor activities as spring arrives. (With visions of what we’ll look like in shorts or bathing suit!) It’s time to tune up the exercise machines, the treadmill or bicycle and get a start. Or take a walk or jog with the dog.
Scott Wharton, in his post, Tuesday Muscle Tune Up, at Health and Men, has some exercise and fitness ideas for men, which could be considered or adapted by the ladies to get ready for spring. Incidentally, many men are quilters, too.
