My Diabetic Food, Bloodsugar and Exercise Journal- No Lying Allowed!!!

I have started a new food, bloodsugar, exercise journal over at my other b5media science and health channel site Diabetes Notes. I am being brutally honest and hiding nothing. I urge everyone to remember that I am human as well and although I have access to all information and extended education on these topics, I do not always put it great use!
Go check it out. I think it will benefit both myself and readers. I can keep close track of everything and ensure that I am being totally crystal clear honest with myself, no hiding a darn thing. I am …read more

Eating Disorder And Chronic Pain Blogs Say Hello Again With New And Fresh Writers

I would like to officially welcome our 2 newest bloggers here at the science and health channel. We have a fellow nurse and writer Marijke at Help my Hurt, all about pain management and the essentials of living with chronic pain, and there is Angelique, I love that name, at Breaking the Mirror which is an ED (eating disorder) blog. They have been with b5 for a few weeks now and really rock!
By the way, see if heart disease and MI are indexed in Marijke’s new glossary. I am totally jealous of it and so impressed. Many of hours were …read more

Top 5 Reasons I Know I Have A Hearty Life During The Holidays… In Pictures

I have been thinking about what type of list post to write here at A Hearty Life for a few days. We are having a theme type day here at our science and health channel today and our exact theme is “a top 5 holiday type list on your specific topic”.
Hmm… we all know the food list, the traveling list and the what not to do list when it comes to cardiac health. So I have pondered over what would be new and fresh and useful, and have come up with the ol’ goose egg several times. But when …read more

New Sites Around The Science And Health Channel At b5media

The science and health channel here at b5media has launched some new blogs over the last few weeks. We have an eating disorder called Breaking the Mirror. We have a new fertility site called Fertility Notes and a great new pediatric blog, Kids Health Notes.
Grace at Kids Health Notes is a veteran b5′er and has some great things to offer. One of her posts last week was right up our alley here at A Hearty Life. She reminded us that chest pains among children and teens should be taken seriously and worked up just as carefully as …read more

b5media Hearty Links For You

Here is a bit of what my fellow bloggers here at b5’s science and health channel have to say about heart health. What a great group of bloggers! Yee ha!
Ruth at Eating Fabulous has bought her first bottle of rice bran oil. And apparently, this type of oil is suppose to help promote cardiovascular health. I will have to check my local store, but my guess is I will have to travel to a health type grocer. It might be worth it though!
Healthbolt’s Sara blogged about the new bioabsorbable heart patch that is being used …read more
