We then get to see Heart-kun’s first meeting with her newborn brother. She doesn’t look like she quite knows what to expect, but she appears to not let it bother her too much since we see some adorable photos of her and Love-kun a little bit later!

Heart-kun became an international sensation soon after her birth because of her unique mark, and shop keeper Emiko Sakurada said that out of the hundreds of dogs she’s bred she had never seen one like her.

The human body is a marvelous and complicated machine but there are some basics that everyone should know, such as where your lungs are, your kidneys, and so on. But, according to a study published recently in the online version of BMC Family Practice , “Many patients and general public do not know the location of key body organs, even those in which their medical problem is located, which could have important consequences for doctor-patient communication.”

Researchers gave questionnaires to 722 people, many of whom were patients, but 133 were from the general population. Believe it or not, while most people among the general population could tell you where the intestines are (94%), only slightly more than half (55.6%) could tell you where their heart is. What was surprising to researchers was that patients who were receiving treatment for their illnesses didn’t score all that much better than the public, although those with diabetes and those with liver disease were more likely to know where their pancreas and liver are, respectively.

What helped increase knowledge?

The researchers found that women were better at identifying organs using a female drawing and that patients with higher levels of education were more able to identify organ placement correctly.

Why is it important?

It’s increasingly more important for you to stay on top of your health situation. With the way we move about, change locations, jobs and healthcare providers, we are the ones who are ultimately in charge of our body. How can you speak confidently to a doctor or nurse if you don’t know where your organs are? If you have lower back pain, there’s a big difference between lower back pain in the kidney area than in the middle of the back, and so on.

How good are you at identifying your body and its organs?

Image by tony sak via FlickrSomeone asked this question on the forums over at PlentyOfFish, so I thought I’d take it a little deeper here.
Sometimes it’s hard to comprehend “real” romantic love for some people. Especially once you’ve been really hurt, deceived, or abused by someone you felt strong love for at one point. I’ve often noticed (after the aftermath) that I had loved someone who really didn’t love me back with the same depth, or in the same way, if at all.
Is it possible that some people really aren’t capable of “real love”?

Is it possible that some people really aren’t capable of “real love”?

I think that our life stories are what dictate how we react to the world at any given time, and some people are more resilient than others. Personally, I’ve been told on several occasions that I’m viewed as a strong person. Even my ex (who is a Mama’s Boy with three older sisters and sure tried my strength) once told me that he felt I was the strongest woman (emotionally speaking) that he’d ever known, and he was surprised at my visibly broken heart. Wow… you know?

To give Love you must possess Love.”

“One cannot teach what one does not understand.
To teach Love you must comprehend Love.”

“One cannot know what one does not study.
To study Love you must live in Love.”

“One cannot appreciate what one does not recognize.
To recognize Love you must be receptive to Love.”

“One cannot have doubt about that which one wishes to trust.
To trust Love you must be convinced of Love.”

“One cannot admit what one does not yield to.
To yield to Love you must be vulnerable to Love.”

“One cannot live what one does not dedicate oneself to.
To dedicate yourself to Love you must be forever growing in Love.”

Yes, I sure as hell think love is a real thing, and I think that as humans, we can love many, but only truly give our hearts to just one.

Talking about the matters of the heart is a sore task right now. To be quite honest, if given the choice of writing or not writing about it, I’d choose the latter. Writing about it just drains me of all the other energy that I may need for doing other more practical things.

However, I believe my story can help others so here I am — writing.

One of the things that I’ve realised the past few days is on the subject of giving one’s heart to someone. Risky business, that it is. But all of us take this risk at some point in our lives, right? I reckon it’ll be best if at least I share my thoughts in the hope that it will help others in the future.

Though I know that in love and everything that involves the heart, there’s no formula. Best for you to take good care of yourself; prepare yourself before entering into a serious relationship, before you give your heart to any one.

Yea, the other person should have taken care of your heart. Should’ve been responsible enough to know not to make light of the opportunity. Should’ve shown that they were grateful for the opportunity.

BUT.

You alone should carry the burden of taking care of who you give your heart to.

As soon as you learn that you are indeed strong enough to give your heart to that other person, go ahead and take the leap. But, not in any circumstance, should you entrust such a precious thing to someone less deserving. Know your worth. You deserve all the good things that Love has to offer. I do hope you believe that.
