I am trying to do my part to bring awareness to issues that our environment is facing right now. I am taking part in BlogActionDay by telling you about one of my favorite organizing products on the market, which also happens to be safe for the environment.

It’s the UniKeep Binder. Here’s a description from their website:

UniKeep offers a range of products that allow users to make environmentally-sound choices for storage and presentation without sacrificing durability or functionality. Our polypropylene products require as much as 30% fewer materials to manufacture than traditional vinyl binders and this avoids the toxic waste generated in both the manufacture and elimination of PVC.

The standard UniKeep binder is a single component with NO PVC, completely injection molded from 100% polypropylene – no mixed materials or metal rings – which makes it easily recyclable.
• Vinyl binders are NEVER recyclable without first laboriously separating the many component materials.
• Manufacturers who label their binders as recyclable when they have metal rings attached to polypropylene are deliberately misleading consumers.

The standard UniKeep binder is the only binder that is truly curbside recyclable.

Our Enviro-Binder is manufactured with up to 85% recycled content.

UniKeep also has tons of other great products that are environmentally friendly.

I have become much more aware in the last few weeks, thanks to a good friend of mine Jennifer from TreeHuggingFamily, the importance of doing the little things to take care of our world. If you need more tips on becoming more “green” and making sure that you are doing things to help, not hurt our environment, head on over to her blog and read up. She also has a great list of her green blogging friends blogs.

Happy Blog Action Day everyone!
