Someone asked me a good question the other day. What would you plant if you were planting your first herb garden? I had to think back to some of the first herbs I ever planted, and think about what my favorite herbs are now.
If you’re new to herb gardening, start small with about 5 or 6 herbs, you can always add more next year, but get to know the herbs you plant and the flavors they add to your dishes.

More and more Americans are turning over their soil, planting a garden for the first time, resurrecting garden patches from summers past, taking advantage of their city’s community garden plots, literally putting the “local” in “eat locally” as close to their back doors as possible.
