The added bonus of doing some holiday shopping for your pet is that you can also donate a few dollars to help shelter pets while you’re at it. Petsmart Charities is offering up cute dog and cat Christmas decorations and ornaments, with 25% of the sales going to help save the lives of homeless pets in the US and Canada.

Petco currently has a 72-hour sale going where you can get free shipping on orders over $50 and save up to 40% on select items, and they’re also featuring all your winter pet needs, including travel products and of course, holiday items. Petco Foundation also has their Tree of Hope fundraising campaign going on in stores until December 24th.

After-Thanksgiving Pet Shopping

All day long, as I was running errands for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving dinner, people would say “Happy Thanksgiving”.

I don’t know why, but its one of the most pleasant phrases I know. It sounds more genuine than, “Season’s Greetings” or “Happy Holidays”.

Maybe it’s just because, like many of us, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

I have so many things to be thankful for, but for some reason, I feel just so blessed to simply have my family near by, and especially, Trotter — he’s very genuine, as well.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
