If you are a quilter or a sewer who always has extra scraps laying around after completing a project, then I have the perfect craft for you. You can take those scraps, or even some inexpensive themed material and make a fabulous fabric frame. It is easy to do and costs mere pennies.
Here is what you will need to get started:
A wooden frame (an unfinished, flat frame is best)
Some fabric (or scraps)
Two sided tape (Treasure tape works well)
Tape dots

Recycled CD Letter Holder

Do you have a lot of old, unusable CDs in you house? I do. I don’t like to throw anything away so I thought I would do a little bit of research and find a way to use those old compact discs. Here is one of the crafts I found that was relatively easy to do and cost next to nothing to make.

Styrofoam Heart 6 x 1 inch
Floral quilting fabric
A serrated knife
Paraffin or a candle stub

I like to keep my home office filled with pretty things and objects that radiate peace, love and incentive. In my line of work I especially need all of the inspiration I can find. I have project for you that takes pennies to make and will offer you a world of inspiration.

Autumn is here and winter is on the way. It is time to make sure that we take care of our skin and body. Bath salts are a great way to do just that. Floating Candles

I don’t know about you, but I love floating candles. It makes me think of natural beauty. I don’t know why it would bring that image to my mind, but it does. The key to creating a floating candle is to make it a short shape with it being slightly wider on the top than the bottom. Just to be a little different I made my candles square.

Decorative Paper Mache Clock

Wow, do I have a project for you. I can truly say that I have never seen a book clock, let alone made one, until now. This project looks overwhelming, but it was fairly easy to do. If you can glue and paint, you can create this beautiful book clock. I am so excited about this project that I want to jump right in.

Canning Jar Pin Cushion

Today I have a beginner’s sewing project for you. There is really no sewing involved, but it pertains to sewing. The materials call for a jar with a lid and a band, so I used a small candle that I had on hand. When the candle is used up I can clean up the jar and put buttons or sewing needles inside.
