With every man that is serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, there are many loving and supportive family members and friends that are struggling to deal with this challenging and painful situation. I can’t offer too much advice to those that are serving, but I do think that it’s extremely important to offer support to the loved ones who are fighting their own battle to stay strong at home.

How to Help Bring Them Home
There are currently 3,000 (some statistics say 5000) children waiting in foster care in Guatemala, all of them matched with families in the United States and all waiting to be welcomed by their forever families. However, if their adoption case (yes it all sounds so technical) does not get processed by December 31, 2007 they may never get home…or live in foster care inevitably.
