Alzheimer’s Notes Participates in Gene Genie

Dr. Hsein-Hsien Lei at Eye on DNA hosts Gene Genie #18 today with a round-up of questions and information concerning DNA and genetics.  You’ll find a great deal fascinating reading as you explore the various blogs.
Alzheimer’s Notes participated in this round-up with my post where I ponder, Does Alzheimer’s Follow a Family Gene? ane consider my family members who may and may not have had this disease.
I also like the answer Hsien gives to my question, when she points us to the Alzheimer’s Disease Genetics Fact Sheet.

Alzheimer’s Notes Featured in Grand Rounds Party

Grand Rounds, consisting of posts from predominately medical, health and genetic related blogs was hosted by Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei of Eye on DNA this week.   Uniquely located in a virtual beach house, Hsien called this gathering of bloggers Grand Rounds at the Beach.
Among the bloggers participating, you’ll find Alzheimer’s Notes with Do Caregivers See Themselves in Alzheimer’s Family Members?
The Grand Rounds party or carnival has been around for 2 years, 46 weeks, according to Hsien.  A fun group to party with!

Alzheimer’s Notes Participates in Mendel’s Garden Carnival

My post, Cloned Pigs with Alzheimer’s Genes, is featured in Mendel’s Garden Genetics Blog Carnival #16, hosted by Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei at Eye On DNA.
Mendel’s Garden is a blog carnival devoted to genetics, generally with a different blogger hosting it each time.  You’ll find, at this carnival, an amazing number of ways genetics and genetic research plays a role in our lives.

Genetics & Health (another SciHealth Blog) Mentioned by Fox News

Fox News mentioned the Genetics and Health blog from b5media’s Science and Health channel, listing is as one of the “10 Health Web Sites Worth a Click.”  Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei writes this blog along with A Hearty Life for the SciHealth channel.
Dr. Manny Alverez, Fox’s Health News Managing Editor, also gave a very positive write-up about blogging and mentioned that “a growing number of bloggers are focusing on the area of health.”
Congratulations, Hsien!
(And Alzheimer’s Notes is proud to be part of the Science and Health channel.)
