Many times my mom sat by my bed when I didn’t feel well. She took my temperature, put cool cloths on my forehead, read and sang to me. When I was feeling better, but still too ill to attend school, I lay on the couch in our farmhouse kitchen while Mother worked, but was near.

New Outbreak of Parvo Announced

Dog owners are being warned of a new outbreak of parvo called Canine Parvovirus Type 2c, a highly contagious viral disease.
Parvo attacks the dog’s intestines and typically causes severe diarrhea and vomiting, resulting in weight loss and possible death. Dozens of dogs have died from it this winter — 23 in Michigan in the last two weeks alone — and many more are possibly infected.

We have the GomBu. The crud. Aside from some terrible allergies we were fine, then Zack woke around 11:30 last night with a fever. Now I’ve got the squirts. Hubbby didn’t go to work. Ainsley went off to school, but it wouldn’t surprise me to get a call from the nurse.
