In Defense of Local Food

There is so much talk lately about localizing your food.
How often are you hearing “buy local,” “support your farmer’s markets,” “get to know the people who make your food and how they make it.” Because I’m hearing it a lot. My favorite magazines are filled with articles and recipes (some of which I’ll share here later) that highlight regional foods and sustainable farming, and celebrate all that is organic, natural, from the earth.
