I love eating in season, in case you can’t tell by most of the recipes I post here. There are several benefits to eating fruits and vegetables when they’re in season in your area.
You can support your local farmers markets, or better yet grow your own produce.
In season fruits and vegetables are usually lower cost than off season.
Your food travels less distance, a tomato in January usually travels several thousand miles to get to your local grocery store.
