Facebook helps hasten the end of another relationship. Okay, it’s not Facebook’s fault exactly but it was used a sort of shield in the situation.
While vacationing in Cancun, Stuart Slann, a resident of South Yorkshire, England, and loyal fan of the Manchester United football team, angered fans of a rival team. The men retaliated by throwing him into a swimming pool. During this altercation, Slann broke both an ankle and his rib.
After returning home, the ankle-breakers concocted an elaborate hoax wherein Stuart was enticed to drive 500 miles to meet a fictional woman named, “Emma,” that he met through Facebook for …read more

Man Uses Facebook To Announce Divorce

Facebook. Do you use Facebook? I have a Facebook account, but I very rarely use it. It’s not very user friendly, in my opinion. I hear Facebook mentioned on tv shows or commercials, but everybody I know says the same thing, “I’ve got an account, but I don’t use it.”
A man in England used Facebook to announce his divorce. His wife, she had no idea, until a friend contacted her.
But the message Emma Brady’s husband posted on Facebook could not have been more devastating.
It read: ‘Neil Brady has ended his marriage to Emma Brady.’
Mrs Brady, a 35-year-old conference organiser, claims …read more

Politics – not really a “dating” subject, but the candidates all have an agenda, as far as women are concerned. I’m a Democrat. As a woman who is raising a disabled child on my own and as I’m an employee of the public schools system, it’s in my best interest to be one, but I was a Democrat way before I was a mother or a school aide.
I’m not an anti-Republican Dem – I’ll listen to your side of the argument, I don’t claim to have all the answers. Anybody who does is delusional, in my opinion. My boyfriend is …read more
Not Just Friends – Was John Edwards Involved In the “New” Trend of Cheating?

Cheating, trendy? I promise, I’m not being sarcastic or snarky here.
Infidelity has been on my mind lately. No, I’m not contemplating stepping out on my boyfriend, but with the news that John Edwards has admitted to an affair and the renewed interest in John McCain’s past infidelities, cheating does seem to be a topic of public interest.
Theories on cheating (who does it? the percentage of people of do it is? do only men do it?) abound, but the answers to these questions differ, depending upon whom you talk to. Affairs may happen for many reasons, …read more

Wow. I bet a lot of the day was spent waiting in line.

Do you …read more

Friday, 08/08/08, John Edwards admitted to what many had suspected for a long time – he cheated on his wife, Elizabeth. He previously denied stories about the affair, using what he considered a loop hole – the stories printed where filled with errors. This enabled him to feel justified in denying the story. Whatever. He lied. He cheated. His marriage may have faltered, but still it survives.
He claims to have admitted the affair to his wife some time ago. Elizabeth Edwards gave a statement to the Associated Press, wherein she briefly …read more

Calum MacLeod, of the USA Today, reports that some 9000 Chinese couples are set to be married on August 8th, 2008, in Beijing, China. The push for so many to marry on that date comes in two parts. One, because 8 is a lucky number in China and they want to take advantage of the 08/08/08 date. The second part is that the Chinese couples want to honor the opening day of the Olympics Games, also on 08/08/08.
Couples married on Friday will be taking part in a promotional event, wherein they will sign a billboard that states, “A …read more
