Video: Does your doctor want to induce labor?

They tell you that pregnancy will be, on average 40 weeks long. What “they” don’t tell you is that the last few weeks of that 40 weeks is way, way longer than the first few weeks.
For some reason, those last few weeks are even longer as they go beyond their due date. At some point, the doctor will likely suggest inducing your labor if your body doesn’t seem to want to do it on its own.

Why you shouldn’t rush your due date

I know, it’s hard. You’ve been pregnant for what feels like forever. You’re bigger than you ever have been, you’re uncomfortable, the baby likes to use your bladder as a punching bag – when he or she isn’t sitting on it, and you haven’t been able to eat your favorite foods since  you realized that baby doesn’t like it either.
