Being an environment junkie, I do try to find out if some of the things that I would be using would be harmful to nature. And when my friend in the US asked me what vehicle would be best, I decided to do some research for him. And here’s what I found from MSNBC.
The list is actually from the ACEEE (American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy) and what they did was they ranked the 2007 model vehicles and used fuel economy and emission as the criteria.

I was going through the Internet and I was instantly reminded about a site that a friend once told me over coffee. He said that this site is really one of the best that he has ever encountered and can be quite interesting.

The Best Of Silicon Valley Talks On Alternative Energy

Berkeley Green Home Expo & Energy Symposium

For those of you in or close to the Bay area in California, here’s a cool looking event set to happen towards the end of this month. Saturday April 29th, from 12 noon until 5 pm, the 3rd Annual Green Home Expo and Energy Symposium will take place at Civic Center Park in Berkeley.
More than 75 businesses, non-profit organizations, and government agencies will come together to offer the community insight into sustainable living. Exhibits will include solar energy systems, biodiesel vehicles, a solar energy workshop for kids, and a variety of green building materials and furnishings.

NYC Local Energy Solutions Conference

Here’s a cool looking conference that’s set to happen towards the end of next month in New York City. Local Solutions to Energy Problems will take place April 27th to 29th and is being co-sponsored by Peak Oil NYC and Local Energy Solutions, LLC.

GB#21 – America’s Top 10 Green Utilities

This info is little old (December 2004) but it was the most recent that I could find to terms of highlighting who the top green energy utilities are in the US. Topping the list is Austin, Texas muni provider Austin Energy. According to Department of Energy figures Austin Energy’s Green Choice program sold more than 334 million hours of renewable energy in 2004.
