I just was given a very wonderful floor inkle loom, which has caused friends to ask “what the heck is that??”.
Inkle looms don’t look like a traditional loom.
In fact, if you see a “naked” loom without any yarn on it, they can look downright baffling.
How on earth can you weave fabric on something that looks like this?

I’m starting a Wordless Wednesday series on Tangled Thread – I’ll share pieces of my studio, current projects… if it’s fiber – it’s fair game
To begin, here are two pictures of a piece of hand-weaving I recently cut off my inkle loom:
I’m sewing a new harness for my elderly Cocker spaniel and I thought it would be fun to weave my own webbing, rather than buying nylon webbing.
Besides – this feels so much nicer than nylon… and it’s fun to make!
