Have you ever had a friend that was in such a bad relationship, that you thought they needed professional help? I’m not talking about abuse, because in that case, intervene away.
I mean one of those co-dependent, on and off, so-wrong-for-each-other but can’t-stay-away-from-each-other relationships. For all intents and purposes, let’s just say your friend is a girl. Their fights are frequent as are her crying phone calls to you. Have you had a friend like that? Or do you currently have a friend like that?

Are Black And White Patients Treated Differently Post Acute MI’s?

So, I have a sticky kind of topic to share with you today…
A large study has found that black Medicare patients are less likely than white patients to receive blood vessel opening procedures such as angioplasty following a heart attack, whether they are admitted to hospitals that provide or do not provide these procedures, but also experience higher mortality rates at 1 year, according to a study in the June 13 issue of JAMA.

The Dilemna’s Of Heart Catheterizations…

Would you feel safe having a catheterization at a facility that doesn’t have open heart back up? Meaning… if you were to have a heart cath procedure at a hospital that couldn’t take you directly to the open heart operating room, do you think it would be as successful as an outcome? I have worked at so many different facilities and often pondered on this very question.
