The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel has the reputation of being the best in NYC for keeping celebrity love affair secrets. Their discretion even goes so far as to ban photos in restaurants when people are present. Marilyn Monroe and John F. Kennedy supposedly met up at The Carlyle.

Keeping the laughs going, Aniston then announced that “If anyone has a movie called ‘Everlasting Love With an Adult Stable Man,’ that would be great! I’m at table six, and my agents are at table 12.”

Jennifer Aniston is funny and cute and successful, but I personally think it would suck to be her. She has no privacy – plan and simple. How many men think, “…uh, not going there,” just because they hope to avoid the media circus that her life sometimes becomes? 

She can’t talk to a man without there being speculation of a relationship. She can’t have a relationship without there being speculation of a wedding….or a marriage ultimatum. And always with the celebrities there’s the baby bump watch.

Weird, weird way to live a life, in the spotlight like that. I am very lucky that I was born without talent and average looks. (Phew, huge sigh of relief).

It’s none of my business, but what about scaling back, taking some time off, letting the attention die down, possibly moving out of LA… wouldn’t that make finding someone easier? 

Maybe she doesn’t want to find someone, though. There is nothing wrong with being single. It is infinitely easier, although it’s hard to give yourself a backrub.

On second thought, it might not suck to be her, as apparently she’s got one hot “beach body.” I could live with a reputation like that.

Art Imitates Life for Jennifer Aniston

First, she dated Jessica Simpson’s beau…… (what is his name, I know they are always mentioned over at People magazine, “Jessica Simpson and _______! Jess says it’s real love this time,” or something like that. Tony Romo?  Yep, I looked it up – Tony Romo, of the Dallas Cowboys.)

Now,  a hockey player whom she met when he attended one of her concerts. (My sister saw her in concert recently and she said Carrie Underwood rocks, er countries? Whatever – she had a good time).

I can see the appeal of a celebrity dating an athlete over somebody like an actor or even another singer. *

*An athlete is going to look good - he’s not in shape just for a movie role or a concert tour.

*He’s going to have a pretty big off season breakwhen Carrie will be able to enjoy some couple time in a Jennifer Aniston-style bikini.

*He’s famous, but he’s not going to be more famous than she is, to most folks anyway.

Watch out Carrie, I hear that Jessica Simpson has been seen in attendance at some NHL events…..(Okay, I totally made that last part up.)

Celebrity Dating Alert – Carrie Underwood Has a New Man

Jennifer and Sculfor were first seen in public together enjoying a romantic candle-lit dinner two weekends ago at Santa Monica’s One Pico restaurant in the Shutters Hotel. Sculfor, 36, has modelled for a number of major fashion houses, including Jean Paul Gautier and Christian Dior, and has also starred in a Levi’s advert. Jennifer, 38, has been single since splitting from Vince Vaughn last October. She was previously married to Brad Pitt who is now in a long-term relationship with Angelina Jolie.

Jennifer Aniston dating Paul Sculfor is juicy news for most esp when you add that he just happens to be one of the guys she’s currently dating. Aniston is a celebrity and people will want to know what’s going on in her life even if to another normal person would be considered private.

The context of this post was presented in a somewhat negative way esp when the fact the Sculfor was profiled (construction worker turned model) and it even quoted this particular statement, “One pal told Us Weekly magazine: ‘I wouldn’t say he is her boyfriend. Jen is dating a bunch of guys. She has met a few really great, nice guys.She is just seeing what’s out there.’”

I guess for a celebrity like Aniston to go out and truly date — exploring her options — is something that would be ear-marked and reflect “negatively” on her image.

Makes me wonder, what’s wrong with her dating different men when a lot of other women do the same thing? Is she subject to some social norm that us “normal” people are excused from?
