Just call me the ultimate April Fool. Why? Because this day is the one where I lose all my common sense and powers of deduction. I have to admit: I hate this day.

For example, a few years ago I was working in the marketing department of one Milwaukee firm, and as per my usual habit was browsing through the online local stories. I came across several on one site that just seemed too unbelievable (which should have been my first clue!) but I kept reading nonetheless!
One article talked about a new magazine devoted entirely to babies. I don’t mean it was about babies, I mean it was supposed to be read by people under the age of two! And do you know what I did? With my long marketing background, my mind immediately went to the fact that this was a horrible business idea! How would this venture make any money, I said aloud to my coworkers. Each and every one looked at me with sad eyes and said, “It’s a joke, don’t you get it?”

I didn’t. I’m a smart girl but for some reason easily fooled on this day.

So take heed, dear readers! Use your powers of deduction and common sense today and don’t be taken in at ridiculous news stories or pranks. Avoid, at all costs, being the April Fool’s Fool.

Thought I would share this funny little joke that I ran across today… since cardiology is so darn specialized…
What’s the difference between a general practitioner and a specialist?
One treats what you have, the other thinks you have what he treats.
I actually chuckled out loud!
