Eric Clapton’s Ex-wife To Publish Memoirs

Eric Clapton’s ex-wife Lori Del Santo is writing her memoirs. Apparently the work will focus mainly on their son Conor, who fell to his death in 1990, aged only four.
The tragic loss of his son inspired Clapton to write Tears in Heaven. Del Santo isn’t concerned how Clapton will view her writings.

Journal Writing for True Happiness?

After reading this article on happiness I had to follow up on Sonja Lyubomirsky. Her interest in what happiness is has caused her to study the outcomes of the following:
“…regularly setting aside time to recall moments of gratitude (i.e., keeping a journal in which one “counts one’s blessings” over the course of 6 weeks)…
…engaging in self-regulatory and positive thinking about oneself (i.e., reflecting, writing, and talking about one’s happiest and unhappiest life events for 15 minutes a day during one week), and…
…practicing altruism and kindness for 6 weeks (i.e., routinely committing acts of kindness).”

Moments to Pause

Today my grandmother died. She was 89 and had been living in the low state of total care for the last three years. In a sense we’re glad she’s finally gone, but will, of course, miss her.
My mother passed the message on to me via mobile phone minutes after her mother died. My mother sat with her sister beside their dying mother for those final moments.
