The owner gave me special birthday treatment by giving me a large waffle instead of the small one I ordered.
I also did a little shopping for a new journal. My sister-in-law gave me one of those in-store gift cards. I found two journals …read more

The very act of forcing yourself to write makes you face up to things you may have left hidden. There’s a certain level of honesty involved in successful journal writing. You can be honest …read more

The family played Charades last night after dinner. Apart from being a whole lot of fun Charades is a game about non-verbal, non-audio communication and expression. It’s a full-body experience. In case you’ve never played before here’s a quick run down. Charades cards are dealt and players take turns, according to the roll of the die, to act out or mime the titles of films, novels, plays, songs, TV shows and popular sayings. Of course you don’t need these cards; they just help by supplying the titles for you. The fun is in watching others try and convey their message …read more

On the days when you need a prompt for your journal writing turn to your list and write about one of the firsts that is relevant to you.
Along the same lines, you can always write about your lasts. The last time you visited a special place, the last time you saw a loved …read more
