Ya’all know that November is right around the corner and it is Diabetes Awareness month. So what better way to show your love then proclaiming it with… a magnet. I found these cute JDRF magnets that say “I love a child with juvenile diabetes” and the proceeds go to help a JDRF walk team.
There are also diabetes awareness pins much like that in my logo above. There are also t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats to show your awareness of the disease that we live with each and every day.

I Am Sharing A Touching Video About Juvenile Diabetes

Manny at Tu Diabetes.com had a video posted last week that left me in tears. It is a short “film” that shows just how strong the children and families that live with juvenile diabetes are every day of their lives. Diabetes is something that they treat but can never cure. For a child, it becomes the norm. But that makes it no less scary, overwhelming and encompassing.

Yesterday was one of those emotional days for me. You guessed it, for no apparent reason. Maybe it was the fact that I haven’t slept in a week, thanks to my youngest daughter. Or it could have been that all the blogs I read yesterday morning were reflective and utterly depressing. Wait, was it a full moon? Whatever the reason, I let myself get sucked into my thoughts.
