Heat Stress: Bad, but Worse for Some

Heat stress and heat-related illnesses are harder on certain groups of people. For example, infants and very young children can’t tolerate extreme heat, plus they can’t tell you if they’re thirsty, other than through their cry. But two other groups who are also more affected by heat are seniors and people with chronic illnesses.
According to the Canadian Medical Association Journal:

Keeping the pregnant and young cool
My wife and I are on a short babymoon (vacation before the baby comes) at the beach this weekend so I thought mentioning staying comfortable in the heat and sun was a timely topic. Keeping cool during the summer months is especially important for pregnant women and children alike.
