(tee hee) Seriously, if you have a couple favorite websites that can save you time and money, one source says this could be key to your happiness. After all, if you are saving money and time (perhaps the most precious commodity in today’s world), that’s bound to make you happy.

As someone who writes online, met her husband online, and like most other people, shop online, I can tell you that having a few sites you like can be a real lifesaver. At holidays, ordering a few hard to find gifts online can save countless hours running around to stores.

One article lists Pronto.com, TripAdvisor.com, and UrbanDictionary.com among favorites to try. Each of these can either save you money or time, or in some cases simply just entertain you. One of my faves is Amazon. I’m always on the lookout for certain historical novels that I have a hard time finding in regular bookstores, and that site is a good resource for me.

What about you? Got a favorite site that saves you time and money?

My puppies? A good greenie.

Researchers at the University of Rochester, NY recently researched this subject, and discovered that for many, money, looks, and even fame, don’t actually create happiness. The study showed that the acquisition of external goals not only didn’t bring about the sense of happiness expected, but in many cases actually brought unhappiness. Students who achieved internally focused goals such as personal growth and strong relationships were significantly happier.

This makes a lot of sense, and actually gives us something to think about. So, I ask you – what is the key to your own personal happiness?
