Elderly Diabetics and Kidney Failure

One of the most devastating things about diabetes is that in getting this one disease, it puts stress on your entire body. Simply by being diabetic, your body can be attacked by a multitude of other diseases, like kidney failure.

Diabetes is hard on anyone, but the elderly have an especially difficult time because of the maintenance required to keep the disease in check. Oprah Loses Another Dog

Oprah Winfrey has lost her 12-year old dog Sophie this weekend after a year-long battle with kidney disease. Last May she lost another dog, Gracie, after she choked to death on a ball.
This is so sad; I can’t imagine losing two pets like that within such a short amount of time.
