Free Donuts Today For National Doughnut Day

In honor of National Doughnut Day today, many Krispy Kremes and Dunkin’ Donut locations are giving away free doughnuts!
June 5th is National Doughnut Day, and was established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to raise funds during the Great Depression, and to honor the work of World War I Salvation Army volunteers who prepared doughnuts and other foods for thousands of soldiers.
In honor of this yummy observance, both Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are offering free doughnuts!
Participating Krispy Kremes will give away one doughnut per customer, no purchase necessary, limit one per customer.

Giving in to the Hot-n-Fresh

This was our day to bring snacks after the T-ball game. I had mentioned previously how every other parent on our team assigned to snacks this season had brought doughnuts – which I don’t mind my son eating on occasion – but the “good mother” in me thought I had better bring some healthy snacks. The Doughnut Dilemma

It’s our turn to buy the snacks after T-ball next week. Last spring, when our son played for this same league, and last fall, when he played for another league, all the parents brought sensible snacks – low-sugar fruit gummies, bags of whole wheat crackers, 100 percent fruit juice boxes. I’m not a rabid healthy snack fanatic with my son, but I do appreciate him munching on fruit over, say, wads of Cheetos.
