Zigloo Lego Designs

At first I was a little confused by Zigloo. I couldn’t quite figure out what the site was up to. Now I’m pretty sure that it’s a real architect site, headed up by Keith Dewey. There are some impressive designs happening at Zigloo, but what drew me to the site was the Lego work, which is likely what confused me in the first place; guess I figured that the site belonged to one of those Lego geniuses we sometimes see here.

It’s my year anniversary week here at Offbeat, so we’ll be looking back at my top four favorite posts from each of the last 12 months. Starting with June of course. Got Offbeat Architect Kids?

I write for a living so me and my six year old son Cedar can hang out but does that impress Cedar. In a word, no.
He could care less what I do but he loves Offbeat, he likes the houses and the furniture; he really wants an extravagant treehouse I can’t possible afford.

And We Have A Winner!

Well, a very close winner. Paticus thinks that both homes are made out of Lego blocks and he is close by golly (see below). We had some great guesses for yesterday’s game. And now let’s find out what the structures actually have in common.

This home recently featured in North Shore Magazine, is owned by John and Lynn McKinven and has been dubbed the “Lego House” by neighborhood kids. I think the name fits. Don’t you? Even the little bushes around the home are pointed much like a Lego tree.
